FULL METAL KICK ASS

A gang of idiot terrorists are after the Kandygirls’ famous deadly weapons of mass distruction – what they don’t realise is that they ARE the weapons!  Mata Hari and Jet rip this army to shreds with high kicks, karate and knock outs a plenty! all done with the inimitable Kandygirl wit, style, grace and ridiculously tight dresses.

Jet is supersonically beautiful and Mata Hari is stunning too! put these 2 weapons of mass distraction together, stick them in skin tight dresses, put on the heels and you’ve got a cracker of a film! Mata Hari dominates her men with ease, she’s annihilated her guy but goes back for more – ruthless! Jet is angelically devilish and those beige booted kicks make my heart skip too many beats. This film is simply MUST HAVE!!

Now it was a perfect Christmas present for me – if I’d written a wish-list about my ideal movie, the result would have been something very similar. :) There are so many high points in this film, it’s hard to name all of them. But I’ll try!
STORY: One thing that separates KAK from the many other fighting sites is that these movies actually contain plots. Watching movies with nothing else but mindless beating gets boring quickly – KAK movies remain interesting because they place the fights in context. This time, the plot with the hostage situation is interesting and entertaining, and the script is exceptionally good, with some truly funny one-liners.
GIRLS: Mata Hari. Need I say more? My absolute favorite Kandygirl (well, at least till AJ returns to film One Flew Over 2) with her adorable smile and stunningly graceful moves. And there is Jet, too, who certainly has the looks, has a mind-blasting outfit and call pull off very convincing moves (though I feel that she’s sometimes a little too rigid yet, doesn’t behave as naturally before the camera as, say, Hi-Kix, Mata Hari or Bambi).
I like the fact that the girls seemingly work in teams, with fixed mates (Bambi with Kix, Minx with Sydney, Jet with Mata Hari), each pair containing a „veteran” and and an „apprentice” agent. It could lead some interesting situations and relationships.
STUNTMEN: I normally doesn’t mention them, but now I must, because this movie would be nowhere this good without these guys! We already knew that they can do amazing stunts, but this time we could see that they’re just as good actors and comedians. I simply loved the scenes with the two „competent” terrorist who held the girls hostage – I would even say that these two guys almost stole the whole movie from the Kandygirls… (Perhaps it would be a good idea if there’d be some recurring characters among the bad guys, too.)
ACTION: The best part! As I mentioned in some recent reviews, I grew concerned because the new movies – with some notable exceptions, like Kick Ass with a Vengeance – simply didn’t contain many kicking moves and were centered mostly around punching. I humbly stated my wish for more kicking action, with Mata Hari in the starring role, if it’s possible. And Kandyman – again! – took my humble words into consideration and made this incredible movie, featuring a stunning array of amazing kicks in every shape and form, mostly delivered by none other than Miss Gracefulness herself. I especially loved Mata Hari’s fight scene on the stairs (with the repeated kicks and that nice, casual final kick against her downed opponent).
I’m normally not too fond of punches, but this time, I enjoyed them, too, thanks to Jet’s spectacular performance – I must say that perhaps she delivered the most convincing and powerful hits I’ve seen in a long time.
MUSIC: The soundtrack was a blast this time, especially the track which played during Jet’s second fight. Just like a true action movie! :)
The only (really minor) flaw of the movie is that it ends too quickly. I think that a more detailed ending, with a longer fight scene with the two guys in the room, would have been better. Also, I didn’t like the fact that the movie description actually spoiled the ending…
Still, these are minor complaints. This film is truly a great work, and a perfect closure (?) of a wonderful year of KAK movies. Two thumbs up!
